About the role
Beaulieu House is a children's home and short breaks service supporting children and young people with disabilities and behaviours that challenge. As a Night Support Worker, you will ensure children and young people feel safe, supported, and cared for throughout the night.
You will work as part of a dedicated team committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where young people can develop independence, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful experiences. Each shift contributes directly to the quality of care and the outcomes achieved for the young people staying at Beaulieu House.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting young people to settle at bedtime and resettle if they wake during the night
- Providing personal care and emotional support where required, and responding appropriately to emergencies, safeguarding concerns, and medical needs
- Completing regular welfare checks and monitoring young people's wellbeing, with accurate daily recordings, reports, and handovers
- Administering medication where trained and competent to do so, and working in line with individual care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans
- Undertaking household duties and assisting with audits and resource preparation to support the smooth running of the service
This is a 28.5-hour permanent contract working waking night shifts, typically three nights per week. Beaulieu House operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the rota includes weekends and bank holidays.

About You
Beaulieu House is looking for someone who is caring, patient, and resilient, with the ability to work independently and use their initiative at night. You will take pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment and be committed to supporting children with additional needs.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification or higher relevant to the sector, such as Health and Social Care, Residential Care, or working with young people
- Have experience supporting children or young people, particularly those with disabilities or behaviours that challenge
- Be able to work a rolling rota that includes weekends and bank holidays
- Demonstrate the ability to complete accurate records and reports and to follow care plans and risk assessments
- Show resilience and sound judgement when responding to emergencies or safeguarding concerns during night hours
