About the role

Join our team as a Casual Support Worker at Beaulieu House, a warm, welcoming, and child-focused service offering residential care and short breaks for children and young people with disabilities, including those with complex medical needs and behaviours that challenge. We are proud to have been rated 'Good' in our most recent Ofsted inspection.

This role provides flexible support across both our Children's Home and Short Breaks service. Casual staff help cover sickness, annual leave, and rota shortfalls, making this ideal for individuals who want to make a difference and are looking for flexible working opportunities. Shifts can be picked up to 8 weeks in advance, and once accepted, there is a commitment to complete the shift.

Shift patterns include Early Shift (07:00 – 14:30), School Term Early Shift (07:00 – 11:00), Late Shift (14:15 – 21:45), and Night Shift (21:45 – 07:15). Shifts are available across weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and school holidays.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality, person-centred care
  • Supporting children with personal care, communication, and medical needs
  • Promoting independence and positive behaviour
  • Engaging in fun, meaningful activities tailored to each child
  • Working collaboratively with families and professionals

About You

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and flexible individuals who have a genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs. Experience in care is helpful but not essential as full training is provided.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate compassion, reliability, and flexibility in their approach
  • Show willingness to work a variety of shifts across weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Have a genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • Be committed to completing accepted shifts once booked
  • Be willing to engage in meaningful activities tailored to each child's needs
